Fresh Events + People produce a spectacular Gala for the fire industry each year to raise money for charity and have a wonderful night!

This year the theme for the Gala was France – and it was held in the newly renovated Brisbane City Hall. Hundreds of guests were treated to an exquisite night of French Culture and food.

What was the brief for Entertainment?

The ambitious brief for the night had a huge program of entertainment planned. Collaborating with singers from Vavachi Entertainment, Phoenix were to recreate feature stage shows for both the Les Miserables musical, and also recreate scenes from the Moulin Rouge movie on stage. Other features were to include “Classic France” with an Edith Piaf tribute with French Ballerina, as well as roving entertainment throughout the night.
It was important to Fresh Events + People Event manager that the entertainment happened all around the spectacular venue – on all parts of the stage, balconies, through the room and even from the stunning architectural feature of the City Hall Dome!

The concepts the client booked from Phoenix included:

* Roving hostesses and meet & greet characters for guest arrival

* “Classic France” Parisian dancers to accompany opening stage number

* Classical Ballerina

* Les Miserables dancers & French flag twirlers – performing “Master of the House” & “Do You Hear the People Sing”

* SPARKLING DIAMONDS – complete with aerial trapeze performer and stunning feather fan dancers (with Vavachi Entertainment live singer)

* Backing dancers for several Moulin Rouge songs

* Roxanne feature dance routine – performing with unique “foxtrot dummies”

* CanCan dancers

* Lady Marmalade dancers performing to live band and with audience interaction

* Vintage Candy Cigar girls in Parisian theme
